Objectives of AP Meeseva 2024
MeeSeva’s mission is to provide technology-enabled smart, citizen-centric, ethical, efficient, and successful governance. The programme aims to increase government efficiency, accountability, and transparency while providing all services to people and business owners across all socioeconomic classes in a universal and nondiscriminatory manner. The programme includes a shared governance approach and a redesigned government-citizen interface at all administrative levels.
Features of AP Meeseva 2024
Some of the key features of AP Meeseva are mentioned below.
- By combining several pre-existing state initiatives with Mission-mode Projects like the State Data Centre (SDC), State Wide Area Network (SWAN), and Common Service Centres (CSCs) of the National eGovernance Plan (NeGP) of the Government of India, the Project introduces a digital PKI enabled integrated architecture through multiple service delivery points.
- MeeSeva uses the idea of centrally compiling all land records, registration records, and socioeconomic survey records. It then digitally signs these records using the authorised officer’s digital signature certificates, stores them in a database, and provides them via a web service. Every document that is provided is tamper-proof since it is digitally signed and electronically verifiable.
- Through extensive database porting and bulk signing, the project introduces a completely new paradigm of across-the-counter services to enable work flow services while strictly adhering to the time constraints set forth in the Citizen Charter.
- The ‘tyranny of ink signatures’ was likewise ended by MeeSeva. The majority of officials, including Tahsildars, Police SHOs, and municipal commissioners, have been utilising digital signatures to approve MeeSeva requests, making it the most extensive system in the nation.
- The process of aligning with MeeSeva has evolved into the state’s governing philosophy. It arrived as a silent wave and revitalised a number of outdated procedures and methods.
