3) Former India cricketer Anshuman Gaekwad, who has served the game in different capacities after his retirement as a player, passed away at the age of 71.
4) The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced the names of the two Indian gaganyatri (astronauts) for the forthcoming joint India -United States of America (USA) mission to the International Space Station(ISS).
➨ According to the ISRO, the National Mission Assignment Board has selected Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla as the prime gaganyatri and Group Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair as the backup gaganyatri.

5) The Government of India has approved the construction of eight new national high-speed corridor projects to meet the country’s current and future demand.

10) Lewis Hamilton has won the Belgian Grand Prix after team mate George Russell, who had originally come home in first, was disqualified following the race for an underweight car.
11) Google CEO Sundar Pichai, along with his wife Anjali Pichai, were awarded an honorary doctorate by his alma mater Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, at an event in San Francisco.
➨ Sundar Pichai received the Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) Award, while his wife, Anjali Pichai, was honoured with the Distinguished Alumnus Award.
12) India hosted the 14th India-Vietnam Defence Policy Dialogue in New Delhi.
➨The meeting was part of the wider military-to-military dialogue between the two countries to strengthen the bilateral defence relationship.
